New D-TEC Container Carrier CC-40 with Extension up to 45ft
KESTEREN (THE NETHERLANDS) – Trailer manufacturer D-TEC presents the updated Container Carrier CC-40-3-S. With the addition of features including the option for a 45ft sliding head, the chassis is now suitable for an even wider range of container sizes. This makes the CC-40-3-S significantly more versatile in operation, offering transport companies greater flexibility and more efficient planning.

“Our accumulated knowledge and experience have been applied to the development of this updated chassis, in which flexibility, low maintenance costs and economical operation are key. This has enabled us to build a robust yet lightweight chassis that can carry all common container sizes – 2x20ft, 20ft central, 30ft, containers without tunnel, 40ft tank containers and even 45ft reefer containers. More versatile than ever
The CC-40-3-S now features an extendable front beam and bumper beam, making the chassis far more versatile. This significantly expands the scope of use and allows virtually all container sizes to be transported with this trailer variant.
Lower weight, higher return
With an empty weight starting at just 3,780 kg, D-TEC offers a single-beam gooseneck chassis that ranks among the lightest solutions on the market. The construction is up to 300 kg lighter than comparable trailers. Thanks to the low build height, it is possible to stay below the legal 4-metre limit even with High Cube containers. This results in reduced air resistance and lower fuel consumption, generating savings of up to €1,500 per year (based on 140,000 km annual usage).
Greater range, including for electric transport
The updated D-TEC Container Carrier is ideal for medium and large fleets that require more planning capability and deployment flexibility. For companies transitioning to electric transport, the chassis offers an additional advantage: due to its low weight and aerodynamic design, it provides up to 10 percent more driving range when combined with electric tractors. This means fewer charging moments and more kilometres per battery charge.

The D-TEC CC-40-3-S with gooseneck is ideal for transporting 40-foot High Cube and 45-foot containers, with its low design ensuring that you remain below 4 metres in height. Thanks to additional options, it is now possible to transport not only 40ft containers but also a wide variety of other container sizes — even up to 45ft. This makes the renewed CC-40-3-S a uniquely versatile, durable, and cost-efficient solution.
